VODKA

The Viral Opensource DVG Key Algorithm (VODKA) identifies copy-back DVGs junction regions within RNA-seq datasets.

Figure shows the general principle behind VODKA

VODKA’s performance was tested in positive and negative strand viruses and detects copy-back DVGs with great sensitivity.

Figure shows the alignment of SeV copy-back DVGS identified using VODKA to the SeV genome (top) and the cbDVG-546, the primary cbDVG in SeV strain Cantell (bottom)

Further description and example data can be seen HERE.

VODKA was developed by collaborators Eun Ji Kim and Gregory Grant @Penn ITMAT.
